Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh

6 January @ 16:00 - 17:00

100SEK – 290SEK

Epiphany is one of the oldest Christian holidays and is celebrated to the memory of the three astrologers from the East who found their way to Bethlehem following a star in the sky. The star led them to a stable where they found Jesus, whom they honored with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

When the astrologers, often referred to as the Three Kings, make their entrance in the our cathedral along with the donkey, ox, and lamb, Anglican church music takes center stage. The manger is filled with straw, and the little baby Jesus looks around in wonder. Carols and folk songs mix with sell-known Christmas hymns. And you are invited to sing along!
