15 February @ 16:00 - 17:00
Free
A concert with short stories about the boys’ choir from new and old choir singers. What is it like to sing in the boys’ choir, and how has it influenced their lives?
We are recruiting! Bring a boy aged 7 and up who is interested in music, fun trips, new friends, etc.
Together with former choristers and choir leaders, we get an insight into the life of the boys’ choir, routines, trips, etc., and hope to inspire some to want to start singing with us! In addition to pieces suitable for our youngest members, we will perform some works by our musical idols. Palestrina’s beautiful Ecce nunc benedicite Dominum for male choir, as well as the well-known Sicut cervus, are for us some of the highlights of the boys’ choir repertoire. We will also hear short excerpts and samples of larger works by Handel, Bach, and Fauré. We will also sing music from Game of Thrones and The Snowman.
From the program
