– Gary Graden’s Farewell Concert
“Ever in my life have I sought thee with my songs.” With these words from Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s text Gitanjali 101, Gary Graden summarizes his 42 years as cantor in the Church of Sweden and conductor of the St. Jacob’s Chamber Choir. The text has been set to music by Agneta Sköld in a work that will be premiered at this concert. Gary and his world-renowned St. Jacob’s Chamber Choir will also perform newly composed works by Damijan Močnik and Bo Hansson. In addition to these, they will present magnificent choral music by Alfred Schnittke and Einojuhani Rautavaara.
Gary has also invited a number of close musician friends who will improvise together with the audience. A musical celebration with a forward-looking vision!
