Everyday Wonders

5 October @ 16:00 - 17:00
100SEK – 290SEK
Experience the miracles of everyday life and humanity’s longing for hope in “Everyday Wonders.” Under the direction of Maria Goundorina, the talented voices of Stockholm Music High School present Cecilia McDowall’s moving cantata The Girl from Aleppo, telling the true story of Nujeen Mustafa—a Kurdish teenager with cerebral palsy forced to flee Syria. Through choir, percussion, spoken word, and a solo violin with Eastern colors, this work takes listeners on a powerful journey of hope, courage, and compassion.
The concert continues with Eric Whitacre’s evocative Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine, where Renaissance curiosity meets modern musical imagination—a tribute to the creative spirit and the eternal human desire to push boundaries.
Let young voices inspire you with tales of bravery, dreams, and hope, reminding us of the everyday wonders that surround us all.
