In Dulci Jubilo
The St. Jacob’s Vocal Ensemble is joined by Lunds Akademiska kör, LAK, and Ensemble Mare Balticum. The guests from Lund present a folk-inspired program of Christmas carols arranged by their conductor, Cecilia Martin-Löf. Ensemble Mare Balticum has been active as a group for 30 years and specializes in Renaissance music.
Together with St. Jacob’s Vocal Ensemble, they perform music by Schein, Schütz, Praetorius, and Monteverdi. The ensemble features instruments such as the fiddle, dulcian, trombone, drum, and flute.
A sparkling concert where joyful tones rise towards the ceiling of the Storkyrkan Cathedral! The choirs unite, performing among other pieces the lively Christmas hymn In dulci jubilo by the German Michael Praetorius.
