Old Towns Own Nightingale – Swedish Music Spring
19 March @ 16:00 - 17:00
Free
A concert devoted to the music of Swedish composer and uniquely versatile musician Carl Unander-Scharin. A trained organist, composer and opera singer, he has appeared in more than 40 opera roles, composed across a broad spectrum including award-winning operas, invented interactive electronic instruments and written a doctoral thesis on mechatronics.
Carl Unander-Scharin is a longtime favourite with the audience in the Cathedral of Stockholm, where he has appeared frequently as a soloist, as well as composing for the choirs.
Today’s concert offers exciting glimpses of his artistical universe, with choral music, songs with piano and he première of his Suite processionis, for two organs and dancers.
