A leading Swedish soprano on the international opera stage, Royal Court Singer Elin Rombo is known for the beauty of her lyrical soprano voice and her vivid and intelligent interpretations of leading opera roles, as well as her performances of the contemporary repertoire. In todays concert, she will be accompanied by the great Cathedral organ of Storkyrkan, played by Johan Hammarström. A large church organ is something of a one man orchestra, capable of all nuances from ethereal sounds to roaring fortissimo. The concert features mostly original works for soprano and organ, exploring a rich but sometimes neglected repertoire.
