Event Series Event Series: Sing in Christmas

Sing in Christmas

17 December, 2023 @ 15:00 - 16:00

100SEK – 290SEK
We don’t spare any effort in this concert as we usher in the Christmas season
together with the versatile soprano Maria Keohane and the violinist and national folk musician on the “träskofiol,” Lukas Arvidsson.
Here you will experience a fireworks display of well-known Christmas carols and some newly composed ones. Solo songs, choral pieces, and magnificent organ music.

In the Anglo-Saxon tradition, carols are as essential
a backbone as Swedish Christmas songs are for us. Many of the English
songs also have Swedish counterparts, such as “O Come All Ye Faithful,” which in Swedish is known as “Dagen är kommen.”
If, by any chance, you don’t find yourself in the Christmas spirit after the
first concert, you can simply attend another one!
“The day has come, love triumphs
Come, let us hasten to Bethlehem
Greeted by angels, Christ is born to Earth
Oh, come, let us adore
Oh, come, let us adore

Oh, come, let us adore our Lord, Christ.

S:t Jacob’s Chamber Choir
