Sing in Christmas
To sing in Christmas at Storkyrkan on the Fourth Sunday of Advent has become a beloved tradition—a time when music, light, and togetherness brighten the winter darkness. This year, S:t Jacob’s Chamber Choir is led by internationally renowned guest conductor Erik Westberg, who, together with the choir, offers both new musical discoveries and cherished classics.
Our soloist is Jakob Högström, a celebrated Swedish baritone whose presence and warmth bring new life to the sounds of Christmas. Also featured are Torbjörn Näsbom on the traditional Swedish nyckelharpa, and our own Mattias Wager at Storkyrkan’s magnificent organ.
In the Anglo-Saxon tradition, carols are as central as our Swedish Christmas songs. Many have crossed language borders—like “O Come All Ye Faithful,” known in Swedish as “Dagen är kommen.” This concert offers a shimmering musical kaleidoscope: choral works, solos, and organ pieces, blending the familiar and the newly composed.

Ticket prices: 290-100 SEK, discounts available for seniors, children/youth/students
Please note that large bags, backpacks, suitcases, and strollers are not allowed in the church!
Storkyrkan – Stockholm Cathedral is situated in Old Town just beside the Royal Castle. Underground: Old Town or bus to Slottsbacken

Doors open 30 minutes before the concert starts. Late entry will not be permitted after the concert begins. Please be aware that restroom facilities are limited.
