The organ works of César Franck part 1Free
César Franck Six Pièces pour Grand Orgue
This year, we celebrate the 200th anniversary of franco-belgian composer and organist César Franck. We are happy to be able to start the Spring Season by performing a complete cycle of his twelve major organ works. By virtue of their harmonic richness and expressive melody that combine to convey that Romantic sense of longing, these twelve pieces have remained a cornerstone in the organ repertoire. Franck composed his music for the romantic-symphonic Parisian organs of his time, and with its French symphonic sonorities, the magnificent St Jacob organ can truly bring this music to life.
