The title of the concert alludes to a recurring theme in several of the works: humanity receiving something from God \u2013 through prayer, worship, or reflection. That \u201csomething\u201d can take many forms: the wind and the Holy Spirit in Vuojnha Biegga<\/em>, trust in Hear my Prayer, O Lord<\/em>, peace in Komm, Jesu, komm<\/em>, the eternal light in Canticum calamitatis maritimae<\/em>, or the sacred and the earthly announced by church bells in En Ego Campana<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Even the meaning \u2013 or the absence of it \u2013 in Hymn of Acxiom<\/em> can be interpreted in light of what God gives to humankind. The dual meaning is also present in the Son of Man, the theme of Komm, Jesu, komm<\/em>, opening the way for an alternative reading of the concert\u2019s title.<\/p>\n
