At 3 p.m. on Good Friday \u2013 the hour of Jesus\u2019 death \u2013 we gather for reflection on life\u2019s deepest questions. For many years, this occasion has offered a moment of stillness through a poetic and musical journey along the fourteen Stations of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa.<\/p>\n
In 1930, composer and organist Marcel Dupr\u00e9 improvised upon Paul Claudel\u2019s poetic work Le Chemin de la Croix<\/em> (\u201cThe Way of the Cross\u201d) \u2013 a series of thought-provoking and profoundly human texts about suffering and reconciliation. These improvisations were later transformed into fourteen musical meditations, each reflecting the depth and drama of its respective station.<\/p>\n Through Stina Ekblad\u2019s interpretation, Claudel\u2019s poetry is brought to life with immediacy and presence. Dupr\u00e9\u2019s organ music moves between tender stillness and powerful drama \u2013 an emotional journey from deep sorrow to the light of hope.
