WÅG
23 November @ 16:00 - 17:00
FreeThe trio WÅG was formed in 2007 to share the joy of making music together and to explore new ways of communicating musically with the audience. The trio is composed of Mattias Wager, organist at Storkyrkan, Anders Åstrand, a percussion and mallet virtuoso, and Gary Graden, a singer, choir conductor, and musician at Storkyrkan and St. Jacob’s Church in Stockholm.
A WÅG concert usually does not have a printed program. Instead, the audience is taken on a journey into the unexpected. Gregorian chant meets pop music, chamber music expressions collide with avant-garde-inspired happenings, and the audience may even be invited to join in making music! The central element of a WÅG concert is improvisation, both in free and thematic forms, and not least, in improvised arrangements.
Gary Graden vocals
