The sorrowful mother
The text of the Stabat Mater was written in the early 14th century and describes Mary’s suffering during the crucifixion of Jesus. We meet several singers from the School of Music and Opera at Mälardalen University in a programme built around this hymn. Music by Pergolesi, Boccherini, Berkeley, and others.
