    Lars-Erik Larsson’s A God Disguised is a beloved Swedish classic, a favorite work for many Swedes. The text by Hjalmar Gullberg, written during the troubled times of the 1930s, captures hope, compassion, and human dignity. Gullberg drew inspiration for his poem from the myth of the god Apollo, who wanders among humans in disguise — an allegory of the divine being present without being seen. Stina Ekblad serves as narrator when the piece is performed by the Storkyrkan Chamber Choir and the Stockholm Cathedral Choir, with Miah Persson and Karl Söderström as soloists
